Calumet Photographic Limited UK has merged with Wex Photographic, forming Wex Photo Video. We now offer an improved experience and wider range of products and services to photographers across the country. As part of the merger, we have also changed the name of our rental operation to Wex Rental. Rest assured that there will be minimal disruption to your service, and all rental bookings will be processed as normal.

Account Options

Opening a rental account with Wex Rental is quick, simple and allows you to maximise our rental services, including the 30-day payment terms and no upfront deposit.

Whether you are a high-volume customer, a frequent rental user, or you need a one-off rental service, we offer 4 types of rental accounts to better suit your needs.

Basic Account

To hire equipment, you will need to provide:

  • A credit card deposit for the full replacement value of the equipment being hired
  • Payment for the rental fee on return of the goods
  • Valid photo ID (e.g. a current passport/driving license) and 2 recent proofs of address (no older than 2 months old)

If it’s your first rental, it is best to email this in advance and bring the original documents along to your collection.

Low Deposit Account

To hire equipment, you will need to provide:

  • Deposit of £250 for the first £5000 replacement cost of equipment
  • An extra deposit of £250 per £1000 of equipment thereafter
  • Upfront payment for the rental
  • Valid photo ID (e.g. a current passport/driving license) and 2 recent proofs of address (no older than 2 months old)

Should we not be able to successfully verify your ID, we can open a basic account where a full deposit is required.

If it’s your first rental, we advise to email this in advance and bring the original documents along to your collection.

Rental Plus Account

An account for our frequent rental customers:

  • No deposit up to an agreed maximum replacement cost of equipment
  • Upfront payment for the rental

This account is similar to the Low Deposit account but with the benefit of no deposit up to an agreed maximum replacement cost which is set upon successful completion and approval of a Rental Account Application form. Payment for the rental is required in advance.

To apply for a Rental Plus account please complete an application form and return it to our credit control department along with ID as stated on the application form.The approval process is completed within 48 hours of receipt of your application form. 

Credit Account

An account for high volume customers. Once you've set up a credit account with us, you can start benefitting from:

  • Deposit-free rentals
  • No up-front payment
  • Up to 30 days payment terms
  • Location delivery service
