The ACK-E6 is an AC adapter kit for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Canon EOS 7D. It allows you to run either camera off of mains power rather than batteries. This is hugely useful for situations when you might want to keep the camera powered for a length of time without draining its battery, such as when you’re downloading images to a computer.
It’s also handy if your shoot is contained in a single indoor location, such as your home or a studio. If you have an all-day shoot planned and don’t want to have to break to stop and charge batteries, the ACK-E6 is the perfect way to simply bypass that particular issue, allowing you to get on with the business of shooting.
