A comprehensively specced super-telephoto for the photographer who needs the best, the Canon EF 400mm f4 DO IS II USM is a fast, sharp prime that’s designed to impress. It has a three-mode Image Stabilizer that allows for the use of shutter speeds up to four stops slower handheld, and its internal Diffractive Optics (DO) ensure that the images it produces are pin-sharp from edge to edge.
Also on board is Power Focus technology, which allows for pull-focus effects when shooting video. Controlling focus is a tactile process thanks to the Focus Preset and Focus Stop buttons that are ergonomically place to rest just under the fingertips, and if you need it, there’s also full-time manual focus override.
