This lightweight head provides a wide platform that’s perfect for HDSLR bodies, its sliding plate providing a degree of travel that helps to balance practically combination of camera and lens up to the payload capacity of 5kg. One of Manfrotto’s most compact heads, it has professional-grade fluid cartridges on its pan and tilt, making for smooth camera movement in all directions.
The 500 head is also equipped with an Easy Link 3/8-inch connector that allows an external monitor or similar accessory to be fitted, making it especially useful for video shooters. Strong and sturdy, it also has a side lock system that allows the camera and QR plate to click quickly into position from above, making setup faster and easier.
