The lens system consists of 15 elements in 12 groups, including two aspherical lenses, two UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses and an ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lens. Exceptional image quality is guaranteed, as is high resolution and minimum distortion from the centre to the corners of the image. The multi-coated lens elements also improve image quality to capture true-to-life pictures and video.

The Panasonic 12mm f1.4 ASPH LEICA DG SUMMILUX Lens is capable of smooth and silent operation due to the inner focus drive system and stepping motor. When used in combination with any LUMIX G camera’s high-speed and precise contrast AF system, photo and video recording are optimised, and it is also compatible with the sensor drive at a maximum of 240 FPS. This stunning AF performance is excellent for recording 4K videos, where precise focusing is essential.

Full, Intuitive Aperture Control

The Panasonic 12mm f1.4 ASPH LEICA DG SUMMILUX Lens has an aperture ring so that exposure and bokeh can be easily controlled. Due to the nine blades, the aperture has a rounded shape that will produce an attractively smooth effect in out-of-focus areas when shooting at large aperture settings.

The mount of the Panasonic 12mm f1.4 ASPH LEICA DG SUMMILUX Lens is constructed from a highly-reliable metal to assure durability. As well as this, the lens barrel and hood are also made of metal. The lens has a sophisticated design to match the line-up of LUMIX G cameras, and is dust and splash proof.
