A medium telephoto lens with a “true” macro magnification ratio of 1:1, the Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro EX HSM allows you to get vivid close-up photos while still maintaining a decent distance fro your subjects. Its working close focusing distance is 142mm, and it’ll still produce images of the highest quality even at this short distance thanks to its floating inner focusing system.
Elsewhere on the lens there’s a rounded 9-blade diaphragm that creates vivid bokeh and attractive blur in out-of-focus areas, making it all the easier to create macro images with precise delineation between subject and background. Handheld photography is made easy thanks to the Optical Stabilizer system that offers approximately four stops of correction, while the Hyper Sonic Motor ensures fast and silent autofocus. This lens fits Canon EOS cameras.
