The super lightweight Nikkor 500mm f4E FL VR AF-S lens from Nikon uses Flourite lens elements and magnesium alloy lens barrells to make it this telephoto workhorse easier to use in the field. The "ED" extra-low dispersion elements deliver fantastic details and the improved AF performance has been specially designed to track erratic subject movement to keep subjects sharp.
The 500mm is a favourite lens for wildlife and bird photogrpahers and it is a perfect focal length for shooting motorsport. Distant subjects are pulled closer with super telephoto lenses and the background is thrown out into a smooth bokeh blur.
